What was the highlight of Village Hotel Basingstoke
The Village hotel. great value, really helpful, friendly staff and fantastic amenities
Fantastic and modern room with an excellent shower and bathroom. Decor was really nice and modern. Bed large and comfortable too. Some nice extra touches which shows that they have gone the extra mile to make your stay more comfortable such as an ironing board and excellent iron in the room plus a top notch hairdryer. Good tea/coffee making facility, large modern LG TV, a magnifying mirror in the bathroom and best of all, a push switch which instantly fogged the clear glass between the room and the bathroom for privacy. Another nice touch was the auto floor lights that came on whenever you entered the bathroom - ideal for those middle of night wee-wees. We ate at the restaurant which was really nice with great service and stayed in the bar most of the evening as it had a nice vibe to it. In the morning we used the brilliant spa and pool after checkout for a mere £5 for the 2 of us - fantastic value indeed. Would definitely recommend and we'd make this our no.1 choice if in the area again.

Amazing stay, I will stay again :-)
Privacy lighting in the bathroom was great as well as a dark blind. I loved being offered a double room although I had booked a twin room. Gym and spa area a pure bliss. Temperature of water in the pool just right, loved it!
No water in the rom, no quiet area in the bar.

Great hotel but expect nightly gym and music noise
Hotel staff always friendly helpful
For the two days we stayed banging and music noise all night. We were told it was because of the gym ,we stayed on the second floor . Not much sleep either night very disappointing

Lovely stay, great hotel with everything you need.
Lovely hotel. The rooms were great and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom glass was very cool. The pool was lovely and the bar was nice and quiet.
